the interrupted making of cheese on a biscuit
chapter five
Soon the four of them were walking along the almost deserted beach, finishing the last of their ice creams. Tay and Bel wanted to be alone, as did Zac and Thayet, but they thought it would be rude to say this, so they were walking along in a line, feeling rather uncomfortable. Finally Thayet took matters into her own hands.
“Zac, I left something at the hotel. Would you come back with me to get it?”
“Sure!” Zac agreed immediately. He turned to Tay and Bel. “We’ll be back in a minute, guys,” he said. They agreed readily, so Thayet and Zac made their way back to the Shark Cafe parking lot and climbed into Thayet’s convertible. They set off.

Meanwhile, two very big policemen had just finished having their dinner at the Shark Cafe. They walked into the parking lot and were heading for their own police vehicle when they noticed a little pink Barbie scooter double-parked in front of a blue pick-up truck.
“Tut, tut, tut. Can’t have that. Double-parking’s against the law, it is,” said the first policeman.
“Absolutely,” said the second policeman.
“We’ll have to sniff out the dirty rotten criminal who committed such a horrible offence,” said the first policeman.
“Absolutely,” said the second policeman.
The first policeman gave three huge sniffs, and started coughing violently. The second policeman patted him on the back until he recovered and then followed the first policeman around the corner of the restaurant, to the back door.
Isaac was still waiting there. He planned to come in and embarrass his brothers during dessert, but he was unaware that they had already left. The first policeman snuck up behind him and handcuffed him. Together the policemen dragged the shouting, screaming, swearing Isaac to their van, threw him in the back, and drove him off to jail. He was thrown in a cell for the night.
“You can’t keep me here! I’m Isaac Hanson!” Screamed Ike, but the policemen had already left, and there was no one to hear him.
Ike was stuck.

By the time Zac and Thayet got to Thayet’s hotel, Zac was very nervous. The whole way there, Thayet had been giving him these intense looks, and to tell the truth, Zac was terrified. He was only twelve, after all, and the looks Thayet was giving him were extremely... well, mature. Zac had a distinct feeling that there wasn’t really anything Thayet had forgotten.
They got out of the car. Zac licked his lips and ventured a question. They had been silent the entire car trip.
“Um... Thayet?”
“Yes,” she murmured, gazing into his eyes.
“Why did you really get me to come back here with you?”
“I wanted to be alone with you,” she whispered, opening the door to her room.
“Thayet, I don’t know what...”
“Zac! Relax!” She laughed. “We’re just gonna talk!”
Famous last words...

this is where fortunecity removed part of the chapter. basically, zac and thayet sleep together, ok? email me if you want the gory details!

“I can’t see you any more, Zac,” Thayet said. They had both fallen asleep from the climax of the adrenaline rush mixed with hormones that they had just experienced, and they had just woken up and were now in the process of dressing.
“Why not,” Zac asked, surprised and perturbed.
“I have to go back home tomorrow, and I live in Alaska,” she replied sadly.
“Oh.”
Zac kissed Thayet goodbye, then left. He was on his way back to his own hotel room when the thought struck him. I just had sex.
“Help!” He shouted. He needed to talk to Tay. But where was he. Probably still at the beach. Zac ran for the beach. He got there, saw Taylor lying on the sand a hundred metres away, and sprinted towards him, screaming at the top of his voice, “I just had sex! I just had sex! I JUST HAD SEX!!!”
